About the Rodeo
Uniting the west and the lake in Stockton, Missouri
Who we are
The Stockton Lake PRCA Rodeo is a not for profit 501.c3 that began in 2020 amidst an the pandemic. It is operated by the rodeo board who are all volunteers. The vision of the board is to link our beautiful 25,000 acres of clean, clear water to the western cowboy style of the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association. The rodeo board works with PRCA, Friends of RB, and the community to provide a spectrum of entertainment for the locals and tourists.
Stockton Lake Information
The Stockton Lake Chamber of Commerce estimates an average summer weekend of 20,000- 40,000 people in town and on the lake, with an average uptick of 15-20% on "event" weekends. Lodging, RV sites, camp sites and rentals fill up and businesses get busy! The chamber estimates the area hosts a million visitors throughout the year most of which visit during summer months.
Ray H Zumwalt Expo Center
After the 2003 tornado, congressional representatives Kit Bond, Ike Skelton and Roy Blunt with local business man Ray Zumwalt were instrumental in securing federal and state funds to build the 12,000 sq ft. expo center. The expo center is home each yer to the Cedar County Youth Fair as well as commercial trade shows, fairs, festivals, weddings, and other events. The expo center sits on 158 acres at the end of RB road and adjoins to Stockton Lake. The property is overseen by the not for profit Friends of RB.
